    Product Description
    This Weleda Perineum Massage Oil is a nourishing massage oil designed to help minimise the risk of the Perineum* tearing during childbirth. Containing gentle Almond Oil and Wheat Germ Oil, which is rich in Vitamin E, it is recommended for use from week 34 of pregnancy to help increase the elasticity of and blood flow to the Perineum.

    Developed by pharmacists and experienced midwives, Weleda Perineum Massage Oil was a Gold Winner in the Best Birth Product category of the 2017 Gentle Parenting Awards, as voted on by parenting experts, a parent review panel and the public.

    *The Perineum is the soft tissue between the vagina and the anus.

    Use from the 34th week of pregnancy.
    1. Apply oil to the outer labia and between the vagina and the anus.
    2.+ 3. Massage the inner perineal area with the tip of the thumb and the outer perineal area with the fingers in circular movements, lightly at first then gradually increasing the pressure.
    4. Insert thumb deep into the vagina. In doing so, breathe out and stretch the tissue down and out towards the anus. Repeat regularly. A slight pull should be felt but no pain.

    Use three to four times a week for 5 to 10 minutes.
