To determine your selection of Hairprint No Dye Color Restorer, compare your current natural colour, best seen at the nape of your neck, to the options on our Colour Chart below. If you fall in between two options on the colour chart we suggest starting with the darker colour for more consistent coverage of grey.

FOR HAIR

One kit will sufficiently cover 6 - 10 inches of growth depending on your hair thickness and porosity. If you have 50% or more grey hair,” you will need to use two kits initially following our double application method directions. Once you have successfully used Hairprint on all your hair you can continue to use HairPrint on your roots and new growth as needed, which only requires one kit.

TRANSITIONING
For permed, relax, dyed, highlighted or bleached hair. After thoroughly washing with the Pretreatment, cover all of the dyed/ chemically treated/damaged hair with a coating that will not come off during the application. HairPrint highly recommends Shea Butter. Do not use oils. Apply Hairprint as instructed to the uncoated areas. You may need to reapply this coating between steps of the application process. Take care to avoid getting coatings onto the hair you are applying Hairprint to.

2-3 DAYS PRIOR TO APPLICATION
Discontinue use of commercial hair care products. You may continue to use the Hairprint Shampoos and Conditioners as they are formulated to complement Hairprint Color Restorer. Oils or cream you use on your face may get into your hair around the hairline where stubborn greys are often found, so be careful as you wash your face and condition it.

PRETREATMENT:
Wet hair with warm water. Work the contents of the Pretreatment packet into your hair, paying particular attention to the grey areas. Leave the Pretreatment and baking soda on your hair for at least 5 minutes. The longer you leave the Pretreatment in, the better Hairprint works on non-porous or resistant hair. 20-30 minutes for resistant hair will work best. Rinse thoroughly.

PLEASE NOTE:
Apply Hairprint first to the areas you want covered the most, such as the hairline and persistent grey areas, then move into the longer hair. Be sure to massage each step into your hair like you would with a conditioner.

STEP 1:
With gloves on, pour liquid and powder 1 or Restore into a non-aluminium bowl. Stir together with the brush. The mixture will swell and expand. When the mixture is red or maroon (after about 10 seconds), begin to apply to your hair using the brush as a spatula. As you apply, the mixture will continue to change colour and eventually turn black - don't stress, as this is not the final colour. Within 6 minutes, apply and massage all of the mixture into your hair as you would a conditioner, working it into the scalp and down the length of the hair. Begin with the grey areas first, and be sure they are always fully covered by the formula. Set a timer for 15 minutes. DO NOT RINSE.

STEP 2:
If there is excessive mixture on your hair, wipe it away with your gloved hand. Repeat the same process with Liquid and Powder 2 or Restore, and apply to your hair just as you did in Step 1. Massage into hair like a conditioner, making sure all of the hair is massaged thoroughly. Leave it on for 15 minutes. RINSE with warm water. Towel dry your hair.

STEP 3:
Mix Liquid and Powder 3 or Complete. This formula turns purple and does not expand like the first two steps. It may also feel warm on your scalp. Try to apply all of the mixture within 6 minutes. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with cooler lukewarm water, and thoroughly shampoo and condition your hair with other Hairprint products.

FOR FACIAL HAIR

For facial hair, we recommend dividing one regular size kit. Hairprint is best measured by grams, not volume or ounces. To divide your kit, you will need a gram scale. We recommend one that measures 1/10th of a gram.

Liquid and Powder Totals. Divide by the number of portions you wish to have, to get accurate measurements.

Liquids - 113-114 grams of liquid
Packets 1 and 2- 35 grams of powder
Packet 3 Dark/Brown/Light Brown- 10 grams

PRETREATMENT:
Wet facial hair with warm water. Massage the contents of the Pretreatment into your facial hair, and leave on for 15-20 minutes.

STEP 1
With gloves on, pour liquid and powder 1 or Restore contents into a non-aluminium bowl. Stir together with the brush. The mixture will swell and expand. When the mixture is light red (about 10 seconds), begin to apply to your facial hair using the brush as a spatula. As you apply, the mixture will continue to change colour and eventually turn black, but this will not be your final colour. Within 6 minutes, apply and massage all of the mixture into your facial hair as you would a conditioner. Begin with the grey areas first, and be sure they are fully covered by the formula. Set your timer for 18-20 minutes. DO NOT RINSE.

STEP 2:
Wipe away any excess mixture from your facial hair with your gloved hand. Repeat the same process with Liquid and Powder 2 or Restore. Apply to your hair in the same manner as Step 1. Massage like a conditioner, making sure all of the hair is massaged thoroughly. Leave it on for 18-20 minutes. RINSE with warm water. Towel dry your hair.

STEP 3:
Mix 3 or Complete together. This formula turns purple and does not expand like the first two steps. It may also feel warm on your skin. Try to apply all of the mixture within 6 minutes. Leave on for 18-20 minutes. RINSE thoroughly with cooler lukewarm water.

*Important Note - Because Hairprint is a gentle, food-grade, and safe formula, it may take more than one application to see desired results, and results may vary depending on your unique hair type. 100% coverage of grey hair is not guaranteed. White hair, even a small amount, is very low porosity and is missing all pigment. White hair is incredibly challenging to restore and can be very resistant to the Hairprint treatment. It may take several applications to achieve even a small amount of coverage. Some clients with white hair are not able to achieve any coverage. Please be aware of this before your application*
