Calendula oil is a potent antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial agent. It contains high levels of antioxidants as well as a compound called triterpenoid, which work together to treat skin conditions like dermatitis, eczema, acne, diaper rash, or dryness. Along with moisturising and soothing dry and irritated skin, calendula oil also speeds up the healing process.

It is a skincare superstar it heals burns, cuts, scars and insect bites, and it is often used to reduce swelling and bruising.Β

This oil has anti-fungal properties, making it a great treatment for things like ringworm and athletes' foot, as well as viral infections.

Though calendula is usually applied topically (in a cream or oil form), the tea also has health benefits. Because it’s slightly bitter, it stimulates the liver and soothes indigestion.
