The Story of Vapour
The Vapour Organic Beauty adventure began in the mountains of Taos, New Mexico, USA, when Krysia Boinis and Kristine Keheley, who had worked together for years in designing and manufacturing award winning products for other brands, joined forces again to create something modern and revolutionary, unique and effective.
When the first prototype products under the Vapour label fell across desk of Eric Sakas, prestige cosmetics insider and previous President of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty, it was love at first sight. ’The product felt light-as-air on my skin", Eric practically drooled, ’and replicated the look of dewy youthful skin like nothing I’d ever seen."
The magic of Vapour, Krysia points out, is that it is 100% natural and toxic-free: ’Not only does Vapour offer exceptional performance, it’s made entirely from pure minerals, essential oils and organic plant ingredients."
What’s in the Range?

At the heart of the range is a highly effective concealer and two types of foundation. The Atmosphere Soft Focus liquid foundation provides a medium-full coverage with natural light reflective technology, which may help minimise the look of fine lines and pigmentation ’ fantastic for normal to oily skin types ’ while the Atmosphere Luminous Foundation provides a light-medium coverage great for dry and mature skin. They’re all water resistant and won’t clog pores.
The other superstars of the range are the beautiful high pigment Vapour Lip Nectars, which are long wearing, with a superior texture and never drying or sticky. My personal favourite is Tempt ’ all-natural pigments and 100% free of harmful chemicals. Lip Nectars can be worn alone or in layer with the Elixir gloss and glosses.
Rounding out the range are a small but fantastic range of blushes and bronzers, plus eye liners and long lasting eye shadows in perfect neutral shades.
Key Ingredients in the Range
The main ingredients for Vapour’s revolutionary products include all-natural pumpkin and papaya, pomegranate, rosebuds, chrysanthemum, horsetail herb, myrrh, and Camelina oil ’ renowned in Japan as the centuries-old ’beauty secret of the Geishas" due to its super high content of plant collagen, which makes it ideal for minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a younger looking complexion.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a huge fan of Vapour’s Aura Blush products: ’I especially like their Aura blush which multitasks for eyes, lips and cheeks and works with any skin tone", and of the Luminous Foundation, which, she states, ’is easy to apply and gives a subtle glow". Isla Fisher loves the Vapour Organic Blush in 205, 208 and 213, while Kate Bosworth has Vapour’s Aura Multi-Use Blush in Courtesan among her favourites.
