How does RUMI X turn plastic bottles into clothing?

Each pair of Rumi X leggings saves approximately 16 PET bottles from ending up in landfill. To turn these plastic bottles into clothing, the bottles are first collected and sent to a recycling facility. To remove the caps and labels from the bottles, there is a ’float and separate’ process to differentiate between the two types of plastic. These plastic bottles are then shredded, dried and processed into flakes. After being washed and melted, recycled raw thread can be turned into yarn and woven into fabric. Amazing!

How does RUMI X turn coffee grounds into clothing?

Recycled coffee grounds may sound like a strange fabric choice, but they actually use less energy during production than traditional fabric! To turn coffee grounds into fabric, they are first collected from popular coffee shops. These grounds are then washed and dried before having the oil extracted. This extraction process removes any odours and shapes the grounds into small pellets to be turned into raw thread!
