A little bit closer to home, Victoria, our Promotions Coordinator, has been watching ’Nine Perfect Strangers’ that was filmed in dreamy Byron Bay. Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Products
Reusable products have been on our radar this month (and every other month). Kevin, our Assistant Buyer, has been loving his reusable Porter bowls because they ’look bloody good", while Nicole loves Life Basics Silicone Baking Mats raving that once you try silicone baking mats, you’ll never go back to baking paper again!
And if you haven’t tried Stasher yet, then maybe this review from Madelene, our Assistant Buyer, will convince you. She’s definitely convinced us.
’Stashers are great for storing leftovers & snacks. I used to feel guilty using so much plastic bags, now I don't have to. Stashers are so durable, and I can use them time and time again. They are also super versatile, you can pop a Stasher in the fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, boiling pot of water and the dishwasher. Such a dream!"
Organic Body & Hair Care
Victoria, our Promotions Coordinator, is a huge fan of Asuvi deodorants. They’re effective, made from 100% recycled plastic packaging, and are refillable! Plus, they’re Australian owned and made, vegan, palm-oil free and free from aluminium.
We’re big fans of shampoo bars, and so is Julie, our Managing Director, who has been loving plastic-free Ethique’s Heali Kiwi Solid Shampoo as it’s great for sensitive scalps. (It also won our 2021 Wellness Awards People’s Choice for Best Hair Product).
Natural Skincare
Nellie has been loving Eco Tan’s Skin Compost Glory Oil. It’s her go-to product when her skin is feeling dry, and it’s helped with scarring! An extraordinary night and day treatment oil, it’s designed to reduce the appearance of scarring, fine lines, and wrinkles on all types of skin. With 4.4 stars, there are a lot of people who agree with Nellie.
If you’re on the hunt for a new cleanser, here are three that the team have been loving. Nicole recommends the Sodashi Clay Cleanser as it never leaves her skin dry or oily. It’s the perfect cleanser for sensitive and combination skin, and she’s gone through 3 bottles of it!
Deb, our Procurement Analyst, has loved using the Dr Alkaitis Purifying Cleanser in the shower everyday on a konjac sponge, while Cindy swears by Vanessa Megan’s Petitgrain pH Balancing Cream Cleanser for dehydrated, dry, and sensitive skin.
What else have we been loving in September?
Fruit and sunshine are a common theme! Nicole’s been loving how cheap strawberries and blueberries are, Victoria’s been practicing yoga outdoors and loving mangos, and Julie has welcomed nature coming out to play with welcomed arms!
Some new products and brands dropped in September with rave reviews. If you're looking for something new, we highly recommend Mont Lure's Certified Organic 48HR Antiperspirant Roll On Deodorant. It's an incredible antiperspirant that actually works and is long lasting. Plus, their first of its kind formula is dermatologically tested and completely free from aluminum, alcohol and bicarbonate soda.
Hey Bud landed on our (virtual) shelves this month. A natural, vegan, and cannabis-based skincare brand with an amazing face oil and facial moisturiser. Besides being highly effective and highly-rated, their packaging is the perfect addition to your #shelfie.
Lastly, we've been loving KORA Organic's Berry Bright Vitamin C Eye Cream. A nutrient-rich vegan eye cream, it uses vitamin C to target the appearance of ageing for firmer, more youthful looking skin around the eye area. It comes in a refillable jar with replacement pods to reduce waste!
Oh, and Kevin’s been loving the Nourished Life team this month. We love you too Kev.
