Apple cider vinegar works wonders as a cleanser and toner, particularly if your skin has been feeling congested. Before applying, use steam to open up your pores. You can do this with regular steam or by adding 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your water! After you have patted your skin dry, use a cotton pad to apply the vinegar all over your face. This removes any dirt lodged inside your pores and cleanses the skin. This whole process can be repeated twice for the ultimate clean! The natural AHAs found in this powerhouse vinegar will keep your skin healthy and vibrant!
2. Hair tonic and rinse!
If your regular shampoo and conditioner has left build up on your scalp, there’s no better fix than a natural hair rinse! To create your rinse, combine 1⁄4 cup of water with ’ cup of apple cider vinegar. You can store this mixture in a handy plastic bottle to keep in your bathroom. I recommend applying it after shampooing and before your conditioner.
3. Salad dressing!
Apple cider vinegar is the perfect accompaniment to your salads, dips or veggies! You can use it on it’s own or in a delicious vinaigrette. Filled with enzymes and proteins, this ingredient supports digestion, detoxifies the body and supports the healthy immune system. It’s also ideal for anyone looking to maintain a healthy weight as it’s both calorie and fat free!
4. Daily pick me up drink!
For an immunity boost and pick me up throughout the day, you can also drink apple cider vinegar! I recommend adding 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a glass of water. If you like it sweeter, add 1-2 tablespoons of honey, maple syrup or stevia to taste. It’s the perfect after workout drink or afternoon pick me up!
5. Household cleaner!
To use the cleansing benefits of apple cider vinegar around the home, mix equal parts water with the vinegar. You can keep this diluted solution in a spray bottle to wipe down benches, deodorise surfaces and clean out your fridge or microwave. There’s nothing better than a multipurpose product to make life easier!
6. Bath detox!
For the ultimate, relaxing bath I love adding a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into the warm water. I also mix in some magnesium flakes to soak up all the benefits and ease any muscle tension. It’s a great habit to get into and your body will thank you for it!
