The Children's Hair Products Everyone's Talking About!

Those of you with kids will understand the frustrations of getting them to make sure they wash themselves properly in the shower! Well let me tell you, your job just got a whole lot easier! When I discovered Pineapple Heads delicious smelling range of children's skin and and hair care, my family and I couldn't get enough! Not only does Pineapple Heads have a strict "no baddies allowed" policy, so you won't find any nasties including petrochemicals, parabens, artificial colours and harsh surfactants in their formulation, but founder Megan Sanders has collaborated with a French natural perfumer to make sure the range smells amazing!

I caught up with Megan to find out more about what inspired Pineapple Heads and why it's important to her to have no toxins in her products!

Tell us all about how Pineapple Heads came to life and your philosophy for the brand?
When my son Jimmy started to morph into a toddler I started looking for a natural children’s hair and bath range and couldn't find anything super fun made purely for children. It was all black and white photography with no colour. Children's entire world is full of colour and fun so that what I set out to create.



Why is it so important to you to use all natural ingredients in your products?
There is still a lot of children's products on shelf filled with chemicals ’ in 2015 this blows my mind! To offer Mamas and Papas a natural alternative to every day hair and bath products was really important.

So is this range suitable for all skin/hair types?
Yes! Especially great for sensitive skin and babies and children that suffer eczema. We have a lot feedback from Mamas and Papas telling us that Pineapple Heads have changed their life. That's makes us very happy!

Can you tell us how you get these products to smell SO great!
We work with an amazing French perfumer ’ who weaves his magic when we come up with hair brained ideas (get it?!) Normally he gets it spot on first time. Like I said; he is actually a magician and to make it even better he creates all our amazing scents out of natural goodness.



I personally love the shampoo for myself (as well as the kids), do you have a favourite product that you also love to use yourself??
Detangler, detangler, detangler!! This is honestly a-m-a-z-i-n-g, I get super knotty hair and this keeps my hair so silky and knot free. In fact Fashion Quarterly picked it as 'one of the best pre-blow wave products for Mamas'.

How does the sleepyhead work, we get such great feedback about this product, does it really work for the little ones? What is the science behind it?
Well we can't give away all our secrets but if you mix some chamomile, lotus flower and an accountant..Voilà !
