1. Ayurvedic Diet

The Ayurvedic Diet has been around for centuries and is actually based on the Indian way of life that focuses on fresh, seasonal and whole foods. This diet is great for those wanting a smooth transition into a new way of eating. There are no strict rules in Ayurveda and it’s easy to incorporate into your existing lifestyle! It follows the belief that you should eat for your body shape to feel your best. Ayurveda is all about balancing your ’doshas’, eating fresh foods and practicing mindful activities such as meditation.

To learn more about how you can start living an Ayurvedic lifestyle, I recommend reading Eat Right for Your Shape by Lee Holmes $34.95. This is a fantastic read that teaches you all about the holistic approach to diet and lifestyle. It’s filled with delicious recipes and helpful tips for starting out! Hurraw also offer Ayurveda lip balms based on each of the Kapha, Vata and Pitta body types!

2. Vegan Diet

Another popular lifestyle choice is going Vegan! Being a vegan means that you abstain from using animal/ insect products in every aspect of your life. This includes food, beauty products and clothing! The benefits of veganism include reduced risk of a range of health issues. Here on Nourished Life we have a huge range of vegan products.

3. Paleo Diet

The Paleo diet is one of the most controversial in recent years. It’s based on the core principles of a hunter-gatherer lifestyle combined with modern research. Paleo is all about understanding how our bodies best consume food. When following the Paleo diet, you will need to cut out anything processed or artificial! The benefits of doing this include increased protein and fibre intake, reduced bloating and lower carbohydrate intake. You can learn more about the Paleo diet by reading Going Paleo by Pete Evans $39.95!

If the Paleo diet is too restrictive for you, perhaps the I Quit Sugar diet is better suited! Made popular by Sarah Wilson, quitting sugar has many benefits for your health! You can learn more by reading her breakout book, I Quit Sugar by Sarah Wilson $34.95. Did you know sugar can increase your risk of heart disease, diabetes and premature ageing?! To fight off those sweet cravings, I recommend trying Amazonia Sugar Crave Release Spray $34.95! This product works to curb your cravings with a natural blend of herbs.

4. Gluten Free Diet

If you have a gluten intolerance or are looking to cut back on your intake, it’s important to avoid any products containing wheat, barley and rye. If you’re looking for delicious gluten free foods, I recommend the KOJA range, all the products are so tasty!

5. Fodmaps

According to Fodmap Friendly, fodmaps are ’a collection of short chain carbohydrates and sugar alcohols found in foods naturally or as food additives". A diet low in fodmaps is used internationally as an effective way to ease symptoms of bloating and excessive wind, amongst other things. It’s a great dietary choice for those who struggle with any digestive related problems. To learn more about how eating low fodmap can benefit you, I recommend reading Heal Your Gut by Lee Holmes $29.95!
