Don't you just love it when stars align! A few months ago, new neighbours moved into the warehouse next to ours here at Tilley Lane. A company called Oleria Emporium, the owner Olivia is a beautiful, creative, calm, expert candle marker. She drinks herbal tea from traditional tea pots and takes time out to pop over and offer us a cup every day. Olivia is different to me, I am always drinking espresso, running around and tearing open boxes to get new stock in.

Together we have created a range of beautiful beeswax candles for you. All 100% natural, Aussie, hand made, with pure cotton wicks, good burn times and of course affordable!

I've put together a little Q&A with Olivia to share with you the amazing benefits of beeswax candles and so can see the passion and love behind them.

How long have you been making candles for’ ’?

My love affair with Candles started 3 years ago in the family kitchen with my partner by my side. We decided to gift handmade candles that Christmas. With the support of our family & friends Oleria Emporium was born.

Do you meet the farmers and see the hives/how do you source your wax?

Our 100% beeswax is a blend from Australia's NSW bee farmers, with the finest quality hives & craftsmanship.’ Our hand picked farmers ’have been taught the craft passed down from 4 generations, with much respect to the Honeybees. We support small family businesses & are invited to harvest the honey during the season & visit our working girls as we please. Our ordering system usually starts with a call to Arthur to get off the tracker and ends with an cup of honey herbal tea and a lovely fresh batch of beautiful golden wax.

Can the colour of the wax differ depending on the season?

Beeswax’ ’in its natural state, will vary in colour depending on the 5km radius they travel to and this also changes each season with the different nectars.
